Sylvie was trying to sleep on my shoulder, but couldn't get comfortable.
I explained it to her, "Sometimes the ideal and the illusion are unaligned."
It made sense at that moment.

Nicknames
Most of my friends know what to not call me, but I was thinking about names, and nick-names, I have had. This is what I remember.
In elementary school I wasn't "Andrew" until 3rd grade.
In the 5th grade I was "Grandpa"
In 6th grade I had a bout with "Andy-roo"
The mini-van I had in high school was called "The Toaster," and I was the "Toastmaster," or "Toastmaster General"
In college I was "Drew," "Jenkins-honey," and "Jughead"
In a jazz band the van was called the "Cooper-Paddy" and I was "Rudy" or "Roody" which I think evolved from my bluntness.
I was "Rudy in da Cooper-Paddy"
I almost forgot…"Glocko" & "Gothball"

Free Association on Assignment
I've been working of this quick turnaround project for a Montessori School Fundraiser (read two days).
I've had to take a lot of guesses coming in so late on the project, but I like the way the oversimplification forces results to be dramatic. So here is the winning logo and motif… I just hope they give me the chance to me typeset some of the pieces (most people know how much I abhoe Microsoft and the Microsoft Type Library).

General decoration…

Oh, and the last image is what I kept thinking of.
